Create a Cozy Atmosphere With Candles
Before use as light and decoration, candles were used as clocks; these would have marks up the side to indicate intervals of time and were used as late as the 1900s to keep time by coal miners. Today, candles are used mostly in cases of emergency power outages, for camping, for creating romantic atmosphere or even for keeping bugs away from a patio. Candles sold today come in different colors, scents and styles to suit anyone's taste.
If you have sensitive lungs or sinuses but still want to use candles, try unscented beeswax candles. They burn at lower temperatures than paraffin, which means cleaner air for you to breathe. Some people think beeswax candles smell sweet while burning, so you might want to test your candle outside first.
